At Home Team BBQ, we blend high-quality food, genuine hospitality, and a laid-back atmosphere into an experience that keeps guests coming back. We’re looking for a dedicated, dynamic Restaurant Manager to join our leadership team in Downtown Charleston. In this role, you’ll work alongside the General Manager to lead our front-of-house operations, support staff development, and uphold the high standards of hospitality and service we’re known for.

What You'll Do:

  • Partner with the General Manager to oversee daily restaurant operations — from guest experience to financial performance.
  • Champion a positive, high-performing team culture through coaching, feedback, and mentorship.
  • Lead the hiring, training, and onboarding of new team members with a focus on hospitality and consistency.
  • Maintain strong communication between front- and back-of-house to ensure seamless service.
  • Uphold cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards across all shifts.
  • Keep accurate records of service, staffing, maintenance needs, and daily performance in manager logs.
  • Bring a hands-on leadership presence by working a full schedule of opening, mid, and closing shifts.

What We're Looking For:

  • 5+ years of experience in restaurant management, preferably in fast-casual or a la carte dining.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills — you know how to motivate and guide a team.
  • Proven experience with systems like Toast or other restaurant management software.
  • A guest-first mindset with strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid grasp of basic financials, inventory, and scheduling.
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to stand for long periods (90% of shift), bend, reach, and lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
  • Occasionally seated for administrative tasks (10% of shift).
