The Post & Velvet Elk Lounge - Boulder - Restaurant Manager

We’re seeking a dynamic, hospitality-driven leader to support the day-to-day operations of Boulder’s iconic venues—The Post and Velvet Elk Lounge. This high-impact management role requires someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, leads confidently with heart, and can motivate a team through busy dinner hours and lively late nights. You should bring organization, charisma, and a passion for excellent food, drinks, and guest experiences. A strong background in craft cocktails—understanding balance, technique, and presentation—is essential, along with the ability to bring creativity and care to the guest experience. You must remain calm under pressure, be quick on your feet, and focused on maintaining a vibrant atmosphere.

The Post offers comfort food, cold beer, and a sense of community in a lively setting. Velvet Elk Lounge is known for late-night energy, live music, DJ sets, creative cocktails, and an engaging atmosphere that guests remember long after they leave.

What we expect:

  • You are a lively, welcoming host, ensuring guests and staff feel at home with warm, attentive hospitality.
  • Enthusiastic about learning beverage skills—especially beer! (Cicerone Certification is a PLUS!)
  • Growing food knowledge—understanding preparation and what makes dishes delicious.
  • Excellent communication skills that foster a listening environment.
Requirements:
  • At least 1 year in a hospitality management or restaurant leadership role, plus 1 year of server, bartender, or service captain experience in a full-service or upscale casual setting.
  • TIPS & ServSafe Manager Certification (training provided).
  • Ability to handle physical demands—bending, reaching, standing long hours, lifting heavy and hot items.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Integrity, intelligence, honesty, and a strong willingness to learn and excel.
