Job summary

Hardee's is seeking a Combo Tech I to perform preventive maintenance, minor repairs, and parts replacement for commercial kitchen equipment across multiple restaurant locations. The role involves basic carpentry, safety practices, and daily travel to sites as directed by leadership.

The ideal candidate has 6 months to 3 years in HVAC/R, electrical, and facilities maintenance, with EPA Type II certification and a valid driver's license. On-call work, nights, weekends, and holidays are required.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 3 years experience in HVAC/R, electrical, and facilities maintenance.
• College level courses in air conditioning/refrigeration, electrical or electronics preferred.
• EPA Freon handling Type II certification is required.
• Valid Driver’s License in good standing is required.
• Ability to read blueprints, diagrams and equipment specifications.
• Must be available on an on-call basis nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Schedules repairs and follows preventive maintenance programs for restaurant and building systems.
• Troubleshoots equipment issues remotely when possible.
• Performs minor carpentry, patching walls, and basic maintenance tasks.
• Operates standard maintenance tools and electrical testing equipment safely.
• Documents activity and reports on faulty equipment.
• Responds to service orders promptly and completes work orders and invoicing.
• Maintains spare parts inventory in company vehicle and restocks as needed.
• Assists staff with proper safety techniques when operating equipment.
• Maintains clean and orderly work areas; performs other duties as required.
