Job summary

Taco Bell is seeking a Restaurant General Manager (RGM) to provide leadership and direct supervision for operations of a Taco Bell Unit. You will be responsible for a clean, efficient, and profitable restaurant, training staff, and modeling strong service and hospitality.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong financial discipline, and the ability to drive sales growth while ensuring food quality and guest satisfaction across all shifts.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Basic math and reading skills.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain financial controls and coach and train employees.
• Has reliable transportation and able to arrive to work on time.

Responsibilities

• Ensures cost categories including food cost, labor cost, cash and controllable expenses are controlled to company guidelines and budgeted levels.
• Works within restaurant to produce positive sales growth by improving 5 Bells, CORE, speed of service and food quality.
• Ensures adequate staffing levels for all days and day parts, to meet scheduling requirements.
• Prepares and conducts performance appraisals for crew members, shift managers, and assistant general managers.
• Performs hiring for new crew members, shift leaders, and assistant general managers.
• Coaches and counsels all crew members and managers and trains staff to certification and performance levels.
• Maintains restaurant cleanliness and organization, following sanitation guidelines and regulations.
• Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws.
• Verifies safe environment for employees and guests and takes corrective action as needed.
• Ensures preventative maintenance procedures are followed for equipment and facilities.
• Ensures guest service is excellent on all shifts and handles guest complaints to encourage repeat business.
• Provides feedback to area coach on operating results via daily calls and weekly meetings; manages turnover through effective selection and training.
