Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager with restaurant operations, staffing, training and development, and profitability. This leadership role will coach and develop team members while ensuring guest satisfaction and smooth day-to-day operations.

You will lead by example, recruit and train staff, and focus on revenue, quality, and a safe, clean environment across our travel center restaurants.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Supervisory experience in fast-food industry preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; operational understanding of POS software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire the team to meet performance standards and provide fast, friendly service.
• Coach and manage staff according to company policy; develop a trusting atmosphere.
• Ensure courteous service, quality food, and a clean restaurant environment.
• Recruit, hire, train and retain high-quality team members.
• Help achieve financial objectives through effective people, product, service and facility management.
• Adhere to safety standards and vendor relationship guidelines.
• Be prepared to cover duties of hourly associates as needed.
