Job summary

Cook Out Restaurants is seeking a Restaurant Maintenance Technician to service HVAC and refrigeration equipment across our stores. You’ll manage shake machines, walk-in coolers/freezers, ice machines, and related systems while gaining cross-training on hot side kitchen gear.

The role emphasizes reliability, weekend on-call readiness, and collaboration with managers and staff. A van is provided for on-call use; weekend shifts and driving are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience with refrigeration systems.
• Must possess tools required for refrigeration work.
• Ability to work weekdays and alternating weekends, on-call as needed.
• Valid driver's license with clean record in last 3–5 years.
• Reliable transportation to home restaurant; on-call weekends may require van return.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain HVAC and refrigeration units including walk-ins and ice machines.
• Maintain hot side kitchen equipment as cross-training proceeds.
• Inspect facilities and perform self-identified repairs to keep stores in top shape.
• Use a company tablet to track requests and document completions.
• Coordinate with Service Area Managers, office staff, and store leadership.
