Job summary

Ruth’s Chris is seeking a General Manager in Fresno to lead daily restaurant operations, ensure guest satisfaction, and drive financial performance. You will oversee staff, budgeting, inventory, and standards to deliver exceptional hospitality.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and the continuous development of a high-performing team in a high-volume dining environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct facility walk through (interior and exterior) to ensure a clean, safe and guest-friendly atmosphere and ambiance.
• Complete administrative office work including answering emails and voicemails, entering sales reports, paying invoices, checking deliveries.
• Review previous day’s sales reports to ensure accuracy; investigate and resolve discrepancies; manage budgets, payroll and financial reporting.
• Communicate discrepancies or issues to management, regional VP and corporate staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Review reservations and events to ensure proper staffing based on projected volume.
• Perform kitchen and bar line checks; review inventory needs with Chef.
• Set, submit and achieve budgeted sales and profit levels and monitor against budgets.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings to review menu changes, promotions and staff issues.
• Provide motivational leadership, communication and follow up to ensure standards are met.
• Rotate through restaurant stations to monitor activities and provide feedback.
• Interact with guests to ensure a ‘Raving Fan’ experience and resolve issues promptly.
• Complete closing duties including tips, credit cards, payroll, and reporting; communicate with the next shift.
