Job summary

IHOP is seeking a General Manager to oversee all restaurant operations, driving profitability and sales growth while upholding IHOP's standards of quality and service. Responsibilities include managing daily shifts, staffing, training, reporting, inventory, and guest satisfaction, with a focus on maintaining cleanliness and consistency in product quality.

The role requires managing front and back of house operations, reporting to the Designated GM, and being willing to work varying hours,

Responsibilities

• Manage all areas to achieve sales growth while meeting or exceeding goals in all profit and loss categories.
• Oversee operation during scheduled shifts with decision-making, staff support, guest interaction, scheduling, and sanitation.
• Provide feedback to employees to facilitate development and ensure adherence to uniform standards.
• Perform line checks to ensure proper weights, temperatures, cleanliness and organization.
• Maintain proper staffing levels to guarantee guest satisfaction and sales growth.
• Interview, hire, and train hourly candidates of high quality.
• Conduct orientations for new hourly employees and support training programs.
• Prepare end-of-shift reports including Daily Sales, Daily Cash Interims, and labor controls.
• Prepare food production checklists and ensure correct recipe implementation.
• Order food, supplies, uniforms and other items to unit par levels.
• Identify opportunities and create plans to address them.
• Approve all food or beverage discounts.
• Ensure a safe working and guest environment and notify supervisor of any incidents.
• Protect employees, guests and assets with proper security procedures.
• Keep supervisor informed and take corrective action when needed.
• Complete duties and performance objectives per company policies.
• Project a favorable IHOP image to support brand goals and public recognition.
• Perform duties as required, indoors or occasionally outdoors.
• Be willing to work nights, weekends, holidays and unpredictable hours.
