Job Description

The Restaurant General Manager (RGM) is responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, including staff management, customer service, and financial performance. They ensure smooth store operations, high-quality service, and food preparation, while engaging respectfully with guests, co-workers, and managers. The RGM works hands-on when needed, partners with the above-store team to execute the business plan, and leads by example to develop talent within the team. The role emphasizes operational efficiency, profitability, and enhancing the guest experience to drive business growth.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and train restaurant staff, ensuring compliance with brand standards and labor laws.
  • Manage staffing, recruit talent, and develop internal candidates for management roles.
  • Treat employees with respect, recognize contributions, and hold accountability for service and food quality.
  • Maintain cleanliness, safety, and brand image.
  • Analyze operational and financial performance, identify trends, and implement growth strategies.
  • Ensure cash handling procedures are followed and monitor costs to meet budget goals.
  • Motivate team members, foster a supportive environment, and develop future leaders.
  • Coordinate operations including staffing, inventory, and administrative duties.
  • Address guest concerns promptly and ensure positive guest interactions.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; restaurant management experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; Spanish helpful.
  • Previous experience in a management role with P&L responsibility.
  • Strong leadership, professionalism, and confidentiality skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
