Job summary

Chick-fil-A McHenry is seeking an Executive Director to guide our team toward exceptional operations, growth, and care for people. You will partner with the Operator to build a high-performing leadership bench and uphold CHAMPS values.

This role requires hands-on leadership 30+ hours weekly and time spent working ON the business, with a focus on profitability, guest satisfaction, and community partnerships. You will mentor leaders, safeguard food safety, and shape the restaurant's future.

Qualifications

• ServSafe Food Manager certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Open availability, including Saturdays; Sundays off.
• Hands-on leadership minimum 30 hours per week while also working ON the business.

At Chick-fil-A McHenry we are searching for a high-capacity Executive Director to help lead our business into the future. This role is about building people, driving results, and protecting the brand - while embodying our CHAMPS values: Character, Hustle, Authenticity, Mission, Perseverance, and Serve.

As an Executive Director, you'll partner directly with the Operator to lead a high-performing leadership team and ensure the restaurant excels in operations, growth, and care for people.

What You’ll Do

• Drive Growth: Achieve annual sales growth goals through operational excellence, catering, and community partnerships.
• Lead Leaders: Mentor and coach leaders, ensuring each has a clear 90-day plan and opportunities for personal and professional growth.
• Protect the Brand: Keep food safety at the highest standards, maintain operational excellence, and champion guest satisfaction in the big 5 (OSAT, Accuracy, Taste, Speed, ACE).
• Develop Talent: Build a strong leadership bench and future leaders across the restaurant.
• Steward Resources: Manage labor, expenses, and margins effectively to support profitability.
• Care for People: Recognize and reward team members, foster meaningful conversations, and cultivate a positive, growth-oriented culture.

What We’re Looking For

• A leader with operations-first focus - energized by being hands-on in the business minimum 30 hours a week, the rest of the time working ON the business.
• Proven ability to organize systems, develop leaders, and manage profitability.
• Strong communicator who builds relationships through encouragement, accountability, and care.
• Open availability, including Saturdays and closing shifts as needed. Sundays off!
• ServSafe Food Manager certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Someone who loves both executing today and preparing for the future.
