Job summary

Zalat Pizza in Houston is seeking a Restaurant Coach to lead by example, mentor the team, and drive daily operations to ensure excellence in service, food quality, cleanliness, and culture.

This role combines leadership with hands-on operations, including scheduling, training, cost control, and guest satisfaction, with a focus on coaching rather than command. High-volume experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in restaurant management in a high-volume environment.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and written/verbal communication skills.
• Must hold or obtain a valid Food Manager Safety Certification.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must pass a mandatory background check.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach your team through every shift to meet high standards for safety, cleanliness, speed, and quality.
• Manage scheduling, opening/closing procedures, and company checklists (Jolt, PECs).
• Oversee purchasing, inventory control, and accounting processes for efficiency.
• Maintain facility and equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
• Recruit, train, and develop team members, fostering a positive environment.
• Handle payroll, scheduling, and labor cost management.
