Job summary

Zalat Pizza is seeking a Restaurant Coach to lead by example, mentor staff, and optimize daily operations for excellence in service, food quality, cleanliness, and culture. You’ll play a GM-like role with a coaching mindset, focusing on developing people, hitting targets, and running a smooth, high-volume operation.

The role emphasizes leadership, team development, and operational control, with shifts 9–12 hours, five days a week, and full-time hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of restaurant management in a high-volume setting.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Must hold or obtain a valid Food Manager Safety Certification.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• CTR certification sign-off, Opus training completion, and Training Coordinator approval are preferred.
• Background check required.
• Available for high-volume blackout shifts (Halloween, Super Bowl, New Year’s Eve).

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach your team through every shift to uphold high standards for safety, cleanliness, speed, and quality.
• Manage daily operations including scheduling, opening/closing, and checklists.
• Oversee purchasing, receiving, inventory, and accounting processes for efficiency.
• Maintain facility and equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
• Recruit, train, and develop Zealots (team members) for a positive culture.
• Handle payroll, scheduling, and labor cost management.
• Monitor customer feedback and coach the team to improve service.
• Track and optimize controllable costs to meet profitability goals.
• Uphold all food safety and health standards.
