Job summary

Kizuki Ramen in Seattle is seeking a Restaurant Captain to lead guest service and uphold our standards of excellence. You will support the General Manager and mentor team members to ensure every shift runs smoothly and guests leave delighted.

This role requires at least 2 years in customer service or food service, a High School diploma, and the ability to train staff in a fast-paced environment. A food handler’s permit is preferred. We are an equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in customer service or food service.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Food handler's permit (or willingness to obtain).
• Alcohol serving license preferred.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Maintain friendly, courteous service and address guest feedback.
• Train and elevate restaurant standards; control costs and inspect quality.
• Communicate goals and guide team during busy shifts.
• Organize work schedules, shipments, cleaning, and tasks.
• Resolve issues such as training gaps and inventory accuracy.
• Explain standards and cooking methods to staff and issue clear orders.
• Train staff across stations to maintain productivity.
• Support basic equipment maintenance.
• Perform daily quality checks and uphold store standards.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned.
