Job summary

Sizzling Platter LLC in Midlothian, VA is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in day-to-day restaurant operations, lead shifts, and deliver consistent guest service in a fast-paced environment.

The role is hourly and non-exempt, with responsibilities including coaching crew, assisting with hiring and onboarding, maintaining food safety and cleanliness, managing opening/closing procedures, inventory, and ensuring compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant leadership experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts by directing team members and ensuring efficient workflow.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and support to Crew Members and Shift Leads.
• Deliver and model excellent guest service and resolve guest concerns.
• Assist with hiring, training, and onboarding of team members.
• Ensure product quality, food safety, and cleanliness standards are met.
• Perform opening and closing procedures, including cash handling, deposits, and reporting.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering, receiving, and stock management.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
• Step into operating roles as needed to support business demands.
