Job summary

Sizzling Platter LLC in Indianapolis, IN is seeking an Assistant Manager to partner with the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations. This hourly, non-exempt role focuses on leading shifts, coaching Crew Members and Shift Leads, and delivering exceptional guest service while ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards.

The position supports opening/closing procedures, inventory control, and cross-functional coverage in both front-of-house and back-of-house roles.

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager in day-to-day restaurant operations
• Lead shifts by directing team members and ensuring efficient workflow
• Coach and onboard crew members and shift leads
• Deliver outstanding guest service and resolve guest concerns professionally
• Assist with hiring, training, and onboarding of team members
• Monitor inventory, assist with ordering, receiving, and stock management
• Perform opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and reporting
• Ensure product quality, food safety, and cleanliness standards
