Job summary

Jersey Mike’s in Katy, TX is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in daily restaurant operations and lead team members toward consistent service excellence. This hourly, non-exempt role participates in both front-of-house and back-of-house tasks while providing leadership and direction.

You will coach Crew Members and Shift Leads, help with hiring and onboarding, ensure food safety and cleanliness, and handle opening/closing duties including cash handling and reporting.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant leadership experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager in day-to-day restaurant operations.
• Lead shifts by directing team members and ensuring efficient service and food preparation.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and support to Crew Members and Shift Leads.
• Deliver and model excellent guest service; resolve guest concerns professionally.
• Assist with hiring, training, and onboarding of team members.
• Ensure product quality, food safety, and cleanliness standards.
• Perform opening and closing procedures, including cash handling, deposits, and reporting.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering, receiving, and stock management.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and all applicable laws.
