Jersey Mike's in Layton, UT is seeking an Assistant Manager to partner with the General Manager to lead daily restaurant operations and develop a high-performing team.

You will coach and motivate staff, help with hiring and training, manage shifts, ensure food safety and guest satisfaction, control costs, and support scheduling and performance goals in a fast-paced, team-first environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead all day-to-day restaurant operations alongside the General Manager to ensure an exceptional guest experience
• Coach, develop, and motivate team members through positive leadership
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new employees
• Oversee shifts, upholding Jersey Mike's standards for food quality, cleanliness, and customer service
• Monitor labor, productivity, and food quality throughout each shift
• Assist with inventory management, ordering, deliveries, and food cost control
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and operating standards
• Handle customer concerns professionally and provide positive resolutions
• Support scheduling, daily operations, and restaurant performance goals
• Open and close the restaurant as needed
• Lead by example and foster a positive, accountable, team-first culture
