Job summary

Jersey Mike's is looking for an Assistant Manager to partner with the General Manager and lead daily restaurant operations while building a positive, high-performing team.

You will coach, develop, and motivate team members, assist with hiring and training, and ensure food quality, cleanliness, and guest service standards across shifts. This role emphasizes leadership, accountability, and a strong team culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in restaurant management or supervisory roles.
• Strong coaching and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Flexible scheduling including mornings, evenings, weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day restaurant operations alongside the General Manager.
• Coach, develop, and motivate team members through positive leadership.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new employees.
• Lead shifts while upholding Jersey Mike's standards for quality, cleanliness, and service.
• Monitor labor, productivity, and food quality during each shift.
• Assist with inventory, ordering, receiving deliveries, and controlling costs.
• Ensure food safety, sanitation, and operating standards compliance.
• Handle customer concerns professionally and resolve effectively.
• Support scheduling, daily operations, and performance goals.
• Open and close the restaurant as needed.
• Lead by example and foster a positive, team-first culture.
