Job summary

El Pollo Loco is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in maintaining high quality, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction. You will train and develop team members, oversee daily operations, and help drive a fire-grilled dining experience.

This role emphasizes proactive leadership and cross-training across restaurant operations. Compensation includes competitive pay, quarterly bonuses, and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED (preferred).
• Must be certified on all EPL SPECS positions or have 2–4+ years of restaurant supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control labor costs through scheduling, cross-training, and retention initiatives.
• Oversee opening and closing procedures, including security. Manage setup, food prep, and cleaning.
• Conduct inventory checks and update records; handle deliveries and inventory accuracy.
• Ensure service speed, food safety, and QSC standards; maintain cleanliness.
• Direct and prioritize tasks, adjust staffing for volume and productivity.
• Address customer feedback promptly and escalate to management when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Education
