El Pollo Loco, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Manager in Los Angeles to help run daily operations, guide the team and ensure exceptional service and quality. You’ll work closely with the General Manager to uphold standards and train staff, driving a positive guest experience.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, cross-training, scheduling optimization, and adherence to safety and quality protocols while supporting restaurant performance and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old; high school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must have 2-4+ years of restaurant supervisory experience.
• Must obtain Serve Safe Certification and pass EPL Food Safety Audit upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control labor costs through scheduling, cross-training, and retention.
• Manage opening and closing procedures and security; coordinate setup, food prep, and cleaning.
• Conduct inventory checks and update the inventory system; handle deliveries.
• Ensure customer service and speed-of-service metrics meet goals; maintain health standards.
• Direct and prioritize team tasks during shifts; adjust staffing for sales volume.
• Address customer feedback promptly using EPL’s Just Say Yes Policy.
