Applegreen is seeking an Assistant General Manager to help the General Manager ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations across our network of travel plazas. This role provides an entry‑level path into management, focusing on leadership, judgment, and discretion in delivering service and executing brand standards.

You will supervise staff, coach shifts, set goals, and communicate objectives while maintaining strong customer service and operating performance.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills with sharp business acumen.
• 2+ years experience in quick service restaurant or similar management operations.
• Flexible and open work schedule.
• Basic food safety understanding and practice.
• Ability and willingness to lift/push objects weighing over 30 Lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and clearly communicate business objectives.
• Ensure the day‑to‑day supervision of non‑management associates, assigning specified work, focusing on store level operation performance, coaching, and developing shifts supervisors.
• Must be able to competently perform duties in the absence of the general manager.
• Motivate and positively influence staff, especially during times of low morale.
