Applegreen, a nationwide travel plaza operator, is seeking an Assistant General Manager to help the General Manager run daily operations. The role offers entry-level managers a path to learn essential management skills and exercise sound judgment.

Responsibilities include coaching teams, meeting performance objectives, ensuring branch standards, and delivering superior customer experiences in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and management skills with proven ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills with sharp business acumen.
• 2+ years experience in quick service restaurant or similar management operations.
• Flexible and open work schedule.
• Basic food safety understanding and practice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and communicate business objectives.
• Supervise non-management associates, assign work, coach, and develop shift supervisors.
• Step in to perform duties in the absence of the general manager.
• Motivate staff and maintain morale during challenging times.
• Ensure brand standards, cash handling, and inventory accuracy.
