Job summary

MAVAGI Enterprises Inc. is seeking a Rest Area Attendant to maintain landscaping, grounds, and rest area cleanliness while following contract standards and using appropriate supplies and equipment.

Under supervision, you will perform lawn mowing, trimming, trash collection, window cleaning, and basic repairs, ensuring safety and compliance. Prior landscaping experience and reliability are preferred; willing to handle outdoor work in varying weather.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• One year of relevant experience.
• Reliable, responsible, and dependable.
• Read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Knowledge of tools, equipment, techniques, materials, and landscaping methods.
• Ability to operate or learn riding mower, weed eater, grass edger, chain saw, stump grinder, hedge trimmer, leaf blower, pressure washer, and other basic tools.
• Ability to lift between 25-50 lbs.
• Stand and walk for extended periods in inclement weather.
• Work safely and efficiently.
• Operate large equipment per company procedures and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Complete on-site custodial and grounds work to meet contract specs (bathrooms, floors, trash, etc.).
• Assist with stripping and waxing floors and carpet cleaning when requested.
• Inform Supervisor of maintenance needs immediately.
• Provide feedback on contract successes/problems.
• Submit reports, timecards, and paperwork on time.
• Ensure health and safety of staff and visitors.
• Use and dispose of hazardous materials per procedures.
• Maintain safety/first aid supplies and report equipment damage.
• Wear appropriate protective gear and keep equipment in good condition.
• Maintain grounds with mowing, trimming, and landscaping tasks.
