Job summary

EQUIP Enterprises is seeking a Safety Rest Area Attendant (Maintenance) to care for landscaping, lawns, and rest area cleanliness to meet contract standards. Under supervision, you perform custodial tasks and operate basic tools while following safety guidelines.

Priority may be given to persons with disabilities due to contract requirements. The role requires reliability, English communication, and the physical ability to perform groundskeeping duties as listed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• One year of relevant experience.
• Read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Knowledge of landscaping methods and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Complete on-site custodial and grounds contract work at the location; meet contract specs.
• Clean bathrooms, sweep/mop floors, dust, trash removal, windows, and grounds upkeep.
• Assist with floor stripping/waxing and carpet cleaning if requested.
• Inform Supervisor of maintenance or safety issues immediately.
• Provide reports, timecards, and feedback to the Supervisor promptly.
• Maintain safety of staff and visitors; handle hazardous materials per procedures.
• Maintain supplies/equipment per OSHA standards; order replacements as needed.
• Operate protective gear and basic tools; perform routine equipment maintenance.
• Begin work on schedule, dress neatly, and maintain attendance per policy.
