Job summary

Barcud is seeking a Responsive Repairs Officer to assist in delivering the responsive repairs service across its West designation, ensuring that the Association meets its business obligations, objectives, and tenants' needs.

The role reports to the Senior Responsive Repairs Officer and involves managing repairs, liaising with tenants and providers, and helping develop processes while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering a responsive repairs service.
• Ability to handle customer enquiries professionally.
• Proven capability to procure services and manage providers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a customer-focused, high-quality and timely Responsive Repairs service.
• Be the first point of contact for tenant enquiries relating to repairs and explain technical matters clearly.
• Monitor progress of repairs, update tenants on delays and causes, and explain outcomes.
• Raise and authorise works up to approved thresholds, seeking senior approvals for higher value jobs.
• Produce schedules of work and works orders for repairs.
• Provide Responsive Repairs advice to tenants and Barcud staff.
• Assist in ensuring void properties are swiftly maintained and re-let.
• Deputise for the Senior Responsive Repairs Officer when required.
