Job summary

Promise Resource Network Inc. seeks a Cabarrus Respite Peer Support Specialist Bridger in Davidson, NC. This full-time role provides trauma-sensitive peer support within a respite context and in the community, helping guests access resources, housing, benefits and recovery supports.

You will connect guests with local services, advocate for recovery, and work with the TCL Ambassador Program. A valid NC driver's license and peer support certification are required.

Qualifications

• Current North Carolina Certified Peer Support Specialist or eligible.
• Belief in recovery potential and commitment to peer support philosophy.
• Ability to receive guidance, training and mentoring to grow skills.
• Demonstrates leadership and teamwork within the PRN mission and values.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with the public and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Share personal experience to encourage mental health wellness and recovery.
• Assist guests in connecting with mental health services and local resources.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and perform cleaning duties as needed.
• Manage downtime with guests, focusing on wellness and recovery activities.
• Document and track information as required.
