Job summary

Promise Resource Network Inc. in Davidson, NC seeks a Respite Peer Support Specialist Bridger to provide trauma-sensitive, peer-driven support within respite, hub, and community settings.

Responsibilities include advocacy, transportation, and connecting guests to local resources and housing benefits. Requirements include NC Peer Support certification and ability to work in a team, with a compassionate, recovery-focused approach to support guests through all stages—from pre-arrival to after-care

Qualifications

• Current North Carolina Certified Peer Support Specialist or eligible to become a North Carolina Certified Peer Support Specialist.
• Belief in the recovery potential of all people.
• Ability to receive guidance, training, and mentoring to grow skills and knowledge.
• Demonstrates leadership by modeling PRN’s mission, values, philosophy, and guidance to team members.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and ability to interact effectively with the public.

Responsibilities

• Share personal experience, encourage mental health wellness and recovery, and validate different pathways of recovery.
• Assist in connection with mental health services, community resources, and other services as needed.
• Help maintain a clean, safe and secure environment. Cleaning duties as assigned.
• Document and track information as required.
