Job summary

Promise Resource Network Inc. seeks a Respite Peer Support Specialist to provide trauma-sensitive peer support in a 24/7 respite setting in Davidson, NC. The role focuses on advocacy, connecting guests with resources, housing and benefits guidance, and group and one-on-one support within a healing environment.

Responsibilities include operating the 24-hour peer warm line, maintaining safety, and collaborating with the Respite team to promote recovery and wellness for guests with MH/SA challenges.

Qualifications

• Current NC Certified Peer Support Specialist.
• Lived experience with substance use disorder and/or mental health challenges.
• Commitment to the philosophy of peer support.
• Ability to receive guidance, training, and mentoring to grow skills.
• Demonstrates leadership by modeling PRN's mission and values.

Responsibilities

• Share personal experience and encourage mental health wellness and recovery.
• Assist in connection with mental health services and resources.
• Provide 24-hour peer warm line telephone support.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and secure environment.
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with team members and guests.
• Support guests through all stay phases, including pre-arrival and discharge planning.
