Promise Resource Network in Davidson, NC is seeking a Respite Peer Support Specialist for the 3rd shift. This full-time role provides trauma-informed, peer-to-peer support within the Respite program and may operate the 24-hour peer warm line.

Qualifications

• Lived experience with substance use disorder and/or mental health challenges, meeting eligibility requirements for NC PSS certification.
• Commitment to peer support philosophy and recovery potential.
• Ability to receive guidance, training, and mentoring to grow skills.
• Demonstrates leadership by modeling PRN’s mission and values.
• Demonstrates responsibility, reliability, teamwork, and determination.

Responsibilities

• Share personal experience and encourage mental health wellness and recovery.
• Assist in connection with mental health services and resources.
• Provide telephone support to peers via 24-hour peer warm line.
• Maintain a clean, safe, secure environment; perform cleaning as needed.
• Manage downtime with guests focusing on wellness activities.
• Work cooperatively with Respite team and maintain clear communication.
• Offer peer-to-peer support during all phases of stay.
• Document, track, and report as required.
