Job summary

Central Health in Austin seeks a Respite Community Supervisor to manage daily operations of the respite community on assigned shifts. You will supervise staff, ensure safety and comfort, coordinate meals and laundry, and support admissions within a client-centered care model.

The role requires at least 3 years in emergency shelter or homelessness services management, plus BLS, crisis intervention, and food handling certifications. Training is 30 days with shift work.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day activities during assigned shift (meals, laundry, activities) to ensure smooth operations.
• Supervise Respite Community Assistants; provide guidance, training, and support per policies.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents and staff.
• Coordinate staff coverage, call‑ins, and schedule adjustments for adequate staffing.
• Assist with admissions, bed assignments, and providing welcome resources to residents.
• Participate in weekly case conferencing, team meetings, and process groups.
• Assist with incident reporting and ensure timely documentation of issues.
• Coordinate meals and laundry; oversee rounds and immediate resident needs.
• Support resident education on policies and emergency procedures.
• Monitor belongings and maintain cleanliness and order within the respite community.
• Provide performance feedback to staff and manage overtime within budget.
