Job summary

St. David's South Austin Medical Center seeks a Social Services Supervisor to support day-to-day operations and maintain a patient load, aligning with ICARE Values to improve satisfaction among patients, staff and physicians.

The role reports to the Social Work Manager and Director of Case Management/ERSW and includes assisting in staff orientation, ongoing education, and ensuring departmental processes and procedures are followed.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work required.
• 3–5 years recent experience as a Social Worker in an acute care setting.
• Active License with the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day department operations while maintaining a patient load.
• Promote positive patient, employee, and physician satisfaction.
• Assist the Social Work Manager with interviewing new applicants, staff orientation, and education of staff competencies, processes and procedures.
