Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in respiratory care (A.A.S.) from an accredited program.
• Texas license to practice respiratory care; NBRC credentialing required.
• BLS and NRP certifications required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee respiratory care services with a high degree of clinical competency for adult, geriatric, and neonatal patients.
• Directly supervise unit staff; plan staffing to meet patient needs and census fluctuations.
• Perform daily patient rounds and conduct chart audits to ensure quality of care and regulatory compliance.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to staff; promote professional growth and development.
• Maintain financial stewardship and adherence to NBRC guidelines and AARC Clinical Practice Guidelines.
