Job summary

The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center is seeking an Asst. Manager Respiratory Therapy for the Pulmonary Service Line—Nights.

You will lead a team of respiratory care professionals, ensuring high-quality clinical care and adherence to NBRC and AHA standards. Responsibilities include staffing, supervision, education, and performance improvement while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance in a busy hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in respiratory care; bachelor preferred.
• 5 years critical care experience as an RRT; specialty areas may vary by unit.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff to meet productivity targets and ensure safe patient care.
• Direct patient rounds and monitor staff performance; mentor and teach.
• Coordinate staffing and Kronos records; ensure coverage for shifts and vacations.
• Manage inventory and equipment; ensure safe delivery of care.
