Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas is hiring a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to support our NICU team and clinical care goals. The role collaborates with physicians, nurses, and families to optimize lung health and deliver high‑quality respiratory care. The position requires an A.A.S.

in Respiratory Care (Bachelors preferred), NBRC RRT certification, Texas license, and BLS. NICU experience is preferred; part-time shift available with a strong benefits package and growth

Qualifications

• Two years of critical care preferred.
• A.A.S. Graduate of accredited program in respiratory care (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
• License by the Texas Medical Board; NBRC RRT registered; BLS by AHA.

Responsibilities

• Administer therapy per departmental policies; assess and adjust plans with physicians and family input.
• Perform technical procedures and operate equipment with high proficiency.
• Maintain knowledge of equipment and therapies; educate patients and families as needed.
• Document accurately; SBAR shift reports and EMR orders; manage charges per policy.
• Support charge therapist duties and participate in department meetings and quality activities.
