FutureCare Associates, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to support our nursing team in delivering personalized care. You will assess residents, operate ventilators, perform tests, administer medications, and educate families, with strong adherence to policies and physician orders.

The role requires clinical experience, Maryland licensure, and CPR certification, offering competitive pay and benefits within a collaborative hospital-like setting.

Qualifications

• Current licensure from the state of Maryland as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• Minimum of 1-year clinical respiratory experience.
• Current CPR training with recertification every two years.
• Ability to recognize psychosocial needs of residents and families.
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
• Able to lift at least 35 pounds and assist with resident handling.
• Good communication and collaboration within a care team.

Responsibilities

• Transcribe verbal and telephone orders from physicians for respiratory procedures.
• Initiate, monitor, and manage ventilators as ordered.
• Perform chest physiotherapy and pulmonary function testing.
• Administer aerosolized medications and oxygen therapy.
• Maintain artificial airways and suctioning as needed.
• Document patient responses and ventilator settings accurately.
• Educate residents, families, and staff on respiratory care.
