Job summary

Vibra Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our hospital-based team in Texas. You will work under the Respiratory Therapy Manager and Lead Therapist to set up and operate respiratory care equipment, manage ventilators, and ensure patient safety and comfort.

You will document treatments, assist with weaning, perform trach care, and participate in ongoing education and safety procedures to support excellent patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as a Respiratory Practitioner.
• BLS required on hire; ACLS within 90 days of employment.
• Must maintain licenses and certification for the duration of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provides care for adults and geriatrics (18+) per physician orders.
• Explain treatments and document education given to patients and caregivers.
• Set up, operate and monitor ventilators; assist with ventilator weaning as directed.
• Record treatments and patient responses; update MARs and charts.
• Perform trach care and tubing changes per policy; document changes.
• Carry out respiratory care procedures (nebulizers, oxygen therapy, chest PT).
• Conduct tests such as arterial/venous blood gas analyses and document results.
• Attend monthly Respiratory Care department meetings and participate in safety programs.
