Job summary

Qualifications

• Licensed respiratory practitioner in the state of employment (Texas).
• BLS required at hire; ACLS within 90 days of employment.
• Maintain licenses and certifications during employment.
• Care for adult/geriatric patients (18+ years).
• Explain procedures and educate patients and caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate respiratory care equipment per physician orders.
• Manage ventilators and participate in weaning under physician direction.
• Document treatments and patient responses in charts and MARs.
• Perform trach care and manage airway devices as per policy.
• Carry out routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment.
