Job summary

Key People is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join a premier Montana cardiopulmonary team in Great Falls. The role operates on-site under the Respiratory Care Services department, delivering comprehensive therapy and patient education.

Under supervision of the Respiratory Care Manager, you will evaluate, treat, and monitor cardiopulmonary patients, with a focus on quality care, documentation, and collaborative practice with physicians and nursing staff.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate Degree or higher from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Licensure & Credentials: Active, unrestricted Respiratory Care Practitioner license (Montana) or eligibility to obtain; NBRC RRT credential.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS current.
• Knowledge & Skills: Cardiopulmonary care processes, safety, infection control and CQI standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct cardiopulmonary care including aerosol therapies, chest physiotherapy, mechanical ventilation setup/management, ABG sampling/analysis, and diagnostic testing.
• Perform patient evaluations, monitor responses, adjust protocols with physicians, document outcomes.
• Respond to emergencies (code blue, rapid responses) and provide critical respiratory support across units.
• Educate patients and families on disease management and home therapy equipment.
• Adhere to CQI initiatives, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards.
