Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital in Wilmington, DE, part of Trinity Health, is seeking a part-time Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a day shift with weekend rotation. The role supports inpatient and outpatient care and requires strong clinical judgment.

The successful candidate will hold an AMA‑approved respiratory therapy program completion, NBRC registration, Delaware license (or temporary), and BLS. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential to ensure safe, high‑quality care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved respiratory therapy program.
• Registered through NBRC.
• Licensed in the state of Delaware or valid temporary license and Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• Certified in BLS.

Responsibilities

• Performs respiratory treatment modalities in conformance with established policies and procedures. Communicates appropriate information so that continuity of care can be provided.
• Delivers and delegates respiratory care to both inpatients and outpatients that demonstrates both knowledge of facts and sound judgement.
• Identifies and appropriately utilizes multidiscipline approach to facilitate delivery of Care.
• Seeks knowledge in relation to patient’s condition, disease entity or treatment and reflect this in patient care and documentation and team conference.

• Every third weekend day shift
• Occasionally, this role will cover Tuesday - Thursday 8:00 am - 3:30 pm when certain tests are scheduled for outpatient.
