Rotating Shift
Under minimal supervision and direction of the Respiratory Care Shift Coordinator and department supervisor, and according to physician's orders and departmental policy, performs all basic and critical Respiratory Care procedures for patients on Med/Surg and Critical Care Units.
Respiratory Therapists will perform day-to-day respiratory care, including bronchial hygiene procedures, oxygen initiation and follow-up, and care of Emergency Room patients in need of respiratory services. Responsibilities include setting up and performing complex procedures such as continuous artificial ventilation and medication administration, and recording patient data including ventilatory volumes, pressure/flows, and blood gas analysis.
