• Department: ICE | NRSL Respiratory Therapy IP C
• Job Summary: Multiple positions available. Full-time, day shifts. The CRT works under physician direction and supervises the Respiratory Care Clinical Team Manager, providing quality patient care, promoting a healthy work environment, and projecting a positive image for UAMS Medical Center.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma plus 2 years of direct respiratory care experience OR an Associate's degree in Respiratory Care.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
• Current Arkansas Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (LRCP).

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care.
• ACCS, NPS, ACLS certifications.

Additional Information

Sign-on bonus of $10,000 available.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine respiratory care procedures: updrafts, MDIs, CPT, ABGs, incentive spirometry, IPV, patient education, ventilator management.
• Assist in codes and rapid responses.
• Document patient treatment notes in the electronic system and/or patient charts.
• Handle equipment and supplies as needed.

Employees must be fitted for and capable of donning PPE including N95 masks, PAPR, or CAPR.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, handling, and talking.
• Occasional sitting, bending, lifting over 100 lbs, and other physical activities.
• Visual and auditory requirements to perform job duties effectively.
