Job summary

The Paramount at Somers Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to assess, plan and implement care for patients with respiratory conditions. You will administer treatments, monitor patient status and educate families on equipment and disease management.

Responsibilities include collaboration with the care team, rounds and discharge planning, with strict adherence to infection control and documentation standards.

Qualifications

• Education and licensure as required.
• NY State Respiratory Therapy license required.
• Experience in respiratory therapy or critical care preferred.

Responsibilities

• 1. Respiratory Therapy

• 2. Documentation and Compliance


• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards


• Ensure adherence to infection control practices and safety protocols

Qualifications/Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, required. Bachelor\'s Degree preferred. Certificate of completion from an accredited respiratory therapist program, required.


• Licensure: New York State Respiratory Therapy Technician or Respiratory Therapist License


• Experience: Previous experience in respiratory therapy, critical care, or related areas


• Skills:


• Proficiency in respiratory care techniques and nursing procedures


• Strong critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making abilities


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


• Ability to work in high pressure situations and maintain a calm demeanor

Compensation :$50/hour
