Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, required; Bachelor's degree preferred; Certificate of completion from an accredited respiratory therapy program.
• Licensure: New York State Respiratory Therapy Technician or Respiratory Therapist License.
• Experience: Prior respiratory therapy, critical care, or related areas.
• Skills: Proficiency in respiratory care techniques; strong critical thinking; communication; ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan and implement respiratory care for patients with acute or chronic conditions.

Job description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team.The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, a passion for improving patient outcomes and the ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams

Responsibilities:

1. Respiratory Therapy

• Assess, plan and implement respiratory care plans for patients with acute or chronic respiratory conditions
• Administer respiratory treatments, including oxygen therapy, incentive spirometry and nebulization.
• Monitor patient conditions, record vital signs, and assess respiratory status
• Educate patients and families on respiratory equipment, treatments, and disease management
• Collaborate with providers and other healthcare professionals to develop and adjust care plans
• Participate in rounds, care conferences and patient discharge planning meetings

2. Documentation and Compliance:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards
• Ensure adherence to infection control practices and safety protocols

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, required. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Certificate of completion from an accredited respiratory therapist program, required.
• Licensure: New York State Respiratory Therapy Technician or Respiratory Therapist License
• Experience: Previous experience in respiratory therapy, critical care, or related areas
• Skills:

Compensation :$50/hour
