Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for the BIDMC Respiratory Care Department. The role focuses on management of mechanical ventilation in ICU settings, with coverage of ED, Cath Lab and floors, including ECMO training as the program grows.

The position runs 7pm–7am, with a sign-on bonus and state-of-the-art care delivery. Must hold a Respiratory Therapist license and be eligible for registration and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required in Respiratory Care/Cardiopulmonary Science.
• License: Respiratory Therapist License; Registration as Registered Respiratory Therapist; Basic Life Support.
• 0-1 years related work experience requested; on-call and weekend hours required.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care per physician orders and assess patient condition.
• Develop or modify care plans and advise physicians on indicated therapies.
• Lead shifts when management is not on site and support teams.
• Participate in education meetings and ongoing clinical competency activities.
• Contribute to performance improvement and patient/family education plans.
