Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health in Massachusetts is seeking a Respiratory Therapist - Registered to join our team on a 36-hour week night shift, with no day/night rotation. You will work under the supervision of the Manager and Respiratory Supervisors to provide high-quality care across all ages.

The role involves performing respiratory therapies, calibrating ventilators, reviewing orders, and contributing to patient care plans. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Working knowledge of PCs and software used in patient care.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under physician orders and within licensure.
• Reviews current orders and ensures treatments are delivered as ordered.
• Administers inhaled therapies (nebulizers, MDI) and other delivery modes.
• Assesses patients during treatment, updates plans of care, and documents accurately.
• Calibrates ventilator and airway devices per physician orders; records settings.
• Responds to emergencies, supports codes and MET actions as needed.
• Participates in quality improvement activities and departmental committees.
