Job summary

Bronson Battle Creek is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a full-time 72 hours per pay period, 11a-11p shifts. The role involves delivering high-quality respiratory care, following provider orders, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a hospital setting.

Qualified candidates hold an AS in Respiratory Therapy, Michigan RT license, and are prepared to obtain RRT within 1 year if hired after 2004. BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP certifications are required at site levels.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy (AS) required; bachelor’s preferred.
• Michigan state license required as RT; RRT credentials within 1 year of hire if hired after 2004.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP certifications required per site; 3-12 month timelines vary by site.
• Direct patient care responsibilities include blood gas analysis, airway management, and ventilator support.

Responsibilities

• Supports respiratory care plans per provider orders and policies.
• Evaluates blood gases and adjusts therapies per protocol.
• Routinely administers and titrates oxygen therapy.
• Communicates findings and recommendations to providers and nursing staff.
• Maintains artificial airways and assists with rapid response when needed.
