Job summary

Bronson Battle Creek Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a 72-hour per pay period, day shift. The role supports cardiopulmonary patient care, follows physician orders, and participates in patient education and safety initiatives.

The position requires an Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy, Michigan licensure, and RRT certification within 1 year if hired after 2004, along with BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP per site requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy (AS) is required.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist credentials (RRT) required within 1 year for hires after 2004.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP certifications per site requirements; safety training within 3–12 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care per provider orders and policies.
• Evaluate blood gases and adjust therapy accordingly.
• Communicate findings to providers and nursing staff.
• Assist with intubations, airway management, and patient transport as needed.
• Participate in department quality assurance and education activities.
