Job summary

Bronson Battle Creek is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for full-time night shifts. The RT will administer respiratory care per orders, evaluate blood gases, and participate in emergency response to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Minimum requirements include an AS degree in Respiratory Therapy with Michigan licensure and RRT within 1 year of hire; BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP certifications are required. Sign-on bonus up to $25,000 available and day 1 benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or higher.
• Active state license as Respiratory Therapist in Michigan.
• RRT credential within 1 year of hire for those hired after 2004.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP certifications as site requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy per physician orders and protocols.
• Evaluate arterial blood gases and airway management as needed.
• Respond to emergencies and Code Blue scenarios with proper procedures.
• Educate patients and families about therapies and equipment.
• Collaborate with providers, nurses and respiratory care staff to optimize care.

Education

Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Michigan Respiratory Therapist license

AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP certifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred
