Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; RT program certificate required.
• Licensure: NY Respiratory Therapist license or RT Technician license.

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team.The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, a passion for improving patient outcomes and the ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Respiratory Therapy
  • Assess, plan and implement respiratory care plans for patients with acute or chronic respiratory conditions
  • Administer respiratory treatments, including oxygen therapy, incentive spirometry and nebulization.
  • Monitor patient conditions, record vital signs, and assess respiratory status
  • Educate patients and families on respiratory equipment, treatments, and disease management
  • Collaborate with providers and other healthcare professionals to develop and adjust care plans
  • Participate in rounds, care conferences and patient discharge planning meetings
• Documentation and Compliance
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards
  • Ensure adherence to infection control practices and safety protocols

Qualifications/Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, required. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Certificate of completion from an accredited respiratory therapist program, required.
• Licensure: New York State Respiratory Therapy Technician or Respiratory Therapist License
• Experience: Previous experience in respiratory therapy, critical care, or related areas
• Skills:
  • Proficiency in respiratory care techniques and nursing procedures
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in high pressure situations and maintain a calm demeanor

Compensation :$50/hour
