Job summary

The Paramount at Somers Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, part of CareRite Centers, LLC, is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist RN to join its healthcare team in New York. The role requires an active RN license in New York and relevant respiratory therapy experience.

You will assess, implement, and monitor respiratory care plans, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and participate in rounds and discharge planning. Compensation is listed at $50 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan and implement respiratory care plans for patients with acute or chronic respiratory conditions
• Administer respiratory treatments including oxygen therapy, incentive spirometry and nebulization
• Monitor patient conditions, record vital signs, and assess respiratory status
• Educate patients and families on respiratory equipment, treatments, and disease management
• Collaborate with providers and other healthcare professionals to develop and adjust care plans
• Participate in rounds, care conferences and patient discharge planning meetings
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards
• Ensure adherence to infection control practices and safety protocols

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Education: Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (AND or BSN) required
• Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
• Experience: Previous experience in respiratory therapy, critical care, or related areas
